The hotel is located quite centrally, 15 to 20 minutes walk from Funchal Marina. If you are tired, a taxi fare back from the marina is around 7 Euros. The walk back is uphill so can be challenging in the heat after a long day out!The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. As the descriptions tell you, there is a safe available but you have to pay extra. There is a games room which my sons used at an additional cost of 10 Euros per hour. The swimming pool is small but sufficient as we only used it for an hour each evening. The reception gives free towels to use for swimming.Breakfast was plentiful if you are a meat eater. Was limited for vegetarians, although my children were happy with the cereal options. Let staff know if you are a vegetarian when booking as we had not.We would happily stay again if we returned to Madeira.

Good quality-price relation. Rooms were big and confortable. We went with our 5 year old son and got the extra bed for no additional price and it was worth it, as the room was big.

This is a poor hotel, walls broken and moldy (looks like the apartment is about to collapse), can’t even give sugar packets (No cleaning of cups and plates and utilities, No restock on coffee and tea and when asked at the reception for sugar they say no!?!?), not only this but there is black marks all over the floor looks and looks like ink??? 4 star hotel and the rooms are plain. Useless light switch on furniture which doesn’t turn on or off anything????? Unacceptable poor hotel for 4 stars. And you thought I was done there ??, No. There are no chargers near the bed and to charge things are on the other side of the room. Such a misery
